Springboks matches on SABC

SuperSport International (SuperSport) and the South African Broadcasting Corporation (SABC) announced today that the three Rugby Test Matches in The Rugby Championship played by the Springboks in South Africa during 2012 will be broadcast by the SABC on television and radio.

SABC radio stations will be able to carry the live broadcast of the matches, while its television platforms will broadcast these matches, after the final whistle.

The SABC’s Acting Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Hlaudi Motsoeneng said “The public has clearly communicated its interest in these matches to us and I am delighted that we will be in a position to broadcast them live on radio and also on our television platforms”.

Mr. Happy Ntshingila, Chief Executive Officer of SuperSport said that he was “very pleased with the outcome of the protracted discussions between the parties.”
