One of the better so-called smaller unions in recent years, Griqualand West has won their fair share of trophies, including four Vodacom Cup titles since the inception of this competition. They've also won the Absa Currie Cup three times, albeit quite a few years ago. Playing in turquoise, they are sometimes called the Peacock Blues. GWK Park in Kimberley, like most grounds in Central South Africa, has a very hard playing surface and the locals usually get behind their team, making it one of the least favourite destinations for visiting teams in the country.
