Founded 1969 (as South East Transvaal)
Home Ground : Puma Stadium
Witbank, in the heart of South Africa's coal mining area, is where the Pumas play their rugby. They play in grey jerseys and have never shielded away from the physical stuff. Mpumalanga, one of South Africa's nine provinces, is mostly farm land, which means that most players at the Pumas are tough men from the platteland. Formed in 1969 as South Eastern Transvaal, the Pumas is one of the younger unions in the country.
